To New Beginnings
First, this will be used to whatever pops up in my mind. The last 2 weeks have completely turned my life upside down, and I feel an incredible urge to just start doing a million different projects. This is probably a good thing, but I feel like my mind is going a million miles per hour thinking about everything. So let's write it down.
Daily content will be random. I am not here to please anyone reading (sorry) but rather express my thoughts on business, politics, sports, religions, relationships, languages, etc. You get the picture.
I always wanted to start a blog but never wanted to put in the work (the required part). But now with way more time free, I want to actually do something or at least fail trying. My motivation for this is simple: ensure I do something meaningful with my life. I am a firm believer in being famous simply means impacting one life until the end of time. Sure, being Julius Caesar, Martin Luther King Jr., or Abe Lincoln would be awesome as your name is never forgotten (at least as long as humans are around), but its easier said than done. So for now, let's stick to one person at a time.
Not that anyone would could potentially read this cares, but this is where my life currently is verses two weeks ago. I had a functioning shoulder that didn't require surgery, my Nonna didn't have cancer, no personal family problems, and a girlfriend of 5 years who I was planning on buying a house with and moving out of state for. Spoiler, all of these things flipped. To add, this happened in the span of 96 hours. So yeah, life is a little different now for me. But it was also a wakeup call, my life will never be planned out perfectly. It never will be. So let's accept it now for what it is. Am I a little upset? Yes, I do feel some emotion as I am human after all. So this is where it all started, those 96 hours that changed my life. I have the option of doing something great or being forgotten like 99% of people are. Let's make it count for one person and my goal can be achieved.
On a different note, I feel like it will be wise to have some of the goals written for future me to see (I promise, future posts will be more about the world and less about my life). There are so many things I want to achieve, so let's start here (with no specific order):
1. Start a blog. One goal down.
2. Start a business or businesses with friends. I have a few ideas now, but again, life changes quickly as I have seen first-hand.
3. Start a charity of my choice. My goal since I was a little kid and now I can make it possible.
4. Learn a 4th language. I speak English and Italian (along with a little Neapolitan) fluently, with intermediate knowledge of classical Latin. Could be French, Spanish, Afrikaans, or anything else. Option is wide open to choose from.
5. Earn an advanced degree or advanced certification. Education is important for me and has changed my life for the better, let's not stop using it now.
6. Start a podcast. The market is currently oversaturated, so this is more of a longshot since standing out is near impossible.
7. Have a family of my own. Sounds simple but sounds like visiting Mars for me right now.
8. Run for office. Always wanted to be a politician or involved in government. The current environment is horrible and polarization is driving us apart. Who knows, why can't I bring it back together?
9. Invest in crypto currency or start my own. This is by far the hottest market fad right now and I want in on it. In 5 years, this may seem like the dumbest goal on the list so...
10. Final goal is to solve a murder case or missing person case. I remember reading a NYT article on a French-Moroccan man (I think?) who potentially solved the identity of the Zodiac killer using programming and 6 months of self-research. The article intrigued me and would love to bring a closure to help out one of those individuals. Again, a complete long shot but still a goal for now.
That's enough for today. Tomorrow will be something completely different, probably football related as it is football Sunday and the Bears are ready to let me down again. Hopefully, future me is reading about how Justin Fields is the franchise QB and the Bears are the new Patriots dynasty. Stay tuned...
